International Falls natives Ned and Nathan Seegert along with Ben Lehto have over 50 years combined experience in darkhouse spearfishing on Rainy Lake and Lake Kabetogama. Spearfishing has been a winter tradition in their families for over three generations. They carve most of their own decoys and make jigging sticks. Soon they will be making custom "stinger" spears. Ned, Nathan and Ben organized the local chapter of the "Minnesota Darkhouse & Angling Assn" four years ago and all hold positions on the board. Each has a vast knowledge of the lake, structure and feeding habits of Northern Pike which has resulted in many "wall Hangers."
