Date: February 3rd 2010

These cold, cold mornings appear to be coming to a halt. I expect fishing to get hot very soon. Voyageurs National Park is opening an ice road that will circle Dryweed Island (about a 14 mile long road). This is the first time in park history that they have plowed this toll free road. The road will allow unprecedented drive-to access to some trophy walleye and pike waters! Simply plop your portable into the back of your pick-up and away you go. Grab your tip-ups, ciscoes and sucker minnows (along with some #'s 5, 7 and 9 Jig Raps for monster walleyes) and c'mon up. This road has been started and will be done soon. Don't wait for the official announcement. Naturally, when you book with us we are happy to mark up your map for free.
Hope to see you up here soon.
